Celadon ewer with carved decoration of Yaozhou type, Vietnam, 12th-13th century. A celadon ewer with small spout concertinaed and issuing from a ram's head, opposite a small three-banded handle. The body has cursively carved continuous floral scroll between double band borders, two floral sprays flank the slightly raised rim. The piece is covered with a pale, extensively crackled glaze of celadon type pooling in places. The foot and base are unglazed and reveal the the putty coloured body.
