Situated on the Kremlin's Cathedral Square, Moscow's Cathedral of the Archangel was built early in the 16th century by the Italian-born architect Aleviz Fryazin Noviy (Aloisio the New). Russian tsars were buried in the cathedral until the 17th century. Found in the collection of the Russian State Film and Photo Archive, Krasnogorsk.
