Augustus Charles Hobart-Hampden, English naval captain and Turkish admiral, 19th century. Hobart Pasha (1822-1886), Marshal of the Ottoman Empire, was the third son of the Earl of Buckinghamshire. He served in the Royal Navy from 1835-1862. After his retirement from the Navy he commanded a successful blockade-runner in the American Civil War before entering the service of the Ottoman Empire in 1867.
