'Portrait of the architect Bartolomeo Francesco Rastrelli', 18th century. Rastrelli (1700-1771) was an Italian-born Baroque architect who spent his career in Russia. Amongst his major works are the Winter Palace in St Petersburg and the Catherine Palace in Tsarskoye Selo. Found in the collection of the State Russian Museum, St Petersburg.
