Votive relief depicting a self-crowning athlete. Pentelic marble high-relief. Early Classical Greek, ca. 460 BCE. The wreath was made of metal and fitted to the drills that are visible. It was probably dedicated by a victor in local games. Found in Sounion near the temple of Athena.
