Danaide from the sculptural group fo the daughters of Danaus (also known as "The dancers"). The five statues were considered to be dancers by Winckelman. Recently they have been identified with the daughters of Danaus (or Danaides) who were punished for murdering their bridegrooms and their cousins. Bronze sculptures. 1st century BCE.
