A goldsmith's workshop (one of a pair; see also ART182059). This print shows an old man with spectacles serving a client through the window. He is possibly a self-portrait by Delaune. A display of chains and pendants hangs from the ceiling in full view of the street but out of reach of passers-by. Engraving, 80 x 120 mm. Inv. PD 1983,1114.778.
