South side of the Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi in Piazza Navona. The Fountain of the Four Rivers was designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini in 1648-52. The four rivers symbolize the continents known at that time.The statue on the left, representing the Danube River, was sculpted by Antonio Raggi. The one on the right, the Gange River, is the work of Claudio Poussin.
