Schinkel, Karl Friedrich (1781-1841)
The Nicolai Church, Potsdam. Building began under Karl Friedrich Schinkel, who used motifs from the Pantheon, Paris, and St. Paul's Cathedral, London. Begun in 1828, it was continued by Ludwig Persius after Schinkel's death in 1841 and finished by August Stuehler in 1845.
