Face of a statue of the Buddha, covered with gold leaves and bearing the « urna » of indian tradition between the eyebrows; in Shwe-dagon pagoda in Yangoon/Rangoon, most probably founded by the môns between the 6th and the 10th century; in 1485, Queen Shinsawbu provided her own weight (40 kg) in gold to gild the stupa.
