Urania. Marble statue. The body is a late 1st-early 2nd century CE Imperial Roman copy of a mid 2nd century BCE Hellenistic original. The head is a ca. 117-138 CE Imperial Roman copy of a 4th century BCE Greek original. Both originally belonged to statues of muses. The identification with Urania is due to the late 18th century additions of the globe and the stilus, according to the Neoclassical approach to restorations.
