Geppa-ko tea house, Katsura Rikyu Imperial Villa, Kyoto. This villa, dating from 1590-1636, was designed by Imperial Prince Toshihito. It belonged to the Hachijo-no-miya Imperial Family. The name of the Geppa-ro tea house, House of the Moon and Ripple, comes from a poem of the Chinese poet Bai Ju-yi. This building was designed to contemplate the reflections of the moon in the pond.
