Full-size cast of the bas-relief on the Arch of Galerius in Thessaloniki, Greece. The lower register depicts Armenia and Mesopotamia personified by two women offering their submission to Galerius. The middle register depicts the Emperor in battle. The upper register depicts him receiving the delegation of a city that open its doors to the Roman army. This Tetrarchic triumphal arch was built in 303 CE to celebrate the victories of Galerius over the Partians in Armenia and in Mesopotamia.
