Wren, Sir Christopher (1632-1723)
Saint Benet Paul's Wharf, London. The present church was built after the Great Fire over an earlier building named St Benedict by Sir Christopher Wren in 1677-83. It is a particularly valuable example of his work because it is one of the four churches in the City of London that escaped damage in World War II and remained essentially as he built it.
