Sabratha in January under stormy sky. The ruins include the Antonine Temple, the temple of Liber Pater, the Forum, The basilica of Apuleius. Sabratha was founded by the Phoenicians in 5th BCE. In the Punic era Sabratha was a destination for  caravans from the African continent. Occupied by the Romans in 1st BCE, the city became a colony in 156 CE.
