The Phare d'Eckmuhl or Eckmuhl Lighthouse, also known as Point Penmarc'h Lighthouse or Saint-Pierre Lighthouse, built 1835 at 60m high, and inaugurated 17th October 1897, at Saint-Pierre on the Pointe de Penmarc'h, Finistere, Brittany, France. Three small fishing ports developed in this area, but despite the building of a breakwater, sea access remained perilous due to shallow waters and underwater reefs. Picture by Manuel Cohen
