Fortaleza Ozama, or Ozama Fortress, a defensive castle built by the Spanish 1502-05 on the Ozama river, in Santo Domingo, capital of the Dominican Republic, in the Caribbean. The Torre del Homenaje or Tower of Homage is the tallest tower and served as a lookout. The fortress guards the entrance to the port.
