Funeral procession of the late Rt. Hon. Cecil Rhodes - Cape Town and Kimberley representatives, Cape Town', 1902. Cecil Rhodes was an English-born South African entrepreneur and statesman. Upon his death the South African Government arranged an epic journey for Rhodes body by train from the Cape to Rhodesia, with the funeral train stopping at every station to allow mourners to pay their respects. He was finally laid to rest at World's View, a hilltop. From a stereoscope card produced by Works and Studios, 1902.
