Antarctic 100 Memorial, Waterfront Park, Cardiff, Wales. Commissioned by the Captain Scott Society to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the 'Age of Antarctic Discovery', this memorial depicting Captain Scott man-hauling his sledge was created by Cardiff sculptor Jonathan Williams. It was unveiled by the Princess Royal in 2003. The location is close to where Scott's ship, the 'Terra Nova', set sail from at the outset of the fateful expedition on 15th June 1910.
