Members of the Lenox Avenue Gang at Coney Island, New York, USA, 1912. The Lenox Avenue Gang was one of the most violent New York organised crime gangs of the pre-Prohibition period. The four men in the photograph are Francesco Cirofici, Jacob Seidenschner, Louis Rosenberg and the gang's leader, Harry 'Gyp the Blood' Horowitz (1889-1914), They were later executed for the murder of Herman 'Beansie' Rosenthal, a prominent gambler and police informant, on 16 July 1912.
