Coloured Triclinium, 200 BC - 200 AD, Petra, Ma'an, Jordan. Situated opposite the Roman Soldier's Tomb, this is the only room in a funeral complex at Petra with carved architectural decoration in its interior. The Nabatean funerary banqueting hall is decorated with engaged columns and niches and was originally covered with painted stucco. Petra was the capital and royal city of the Nabateans, Arabic desert nomads.
