Medals for Battles in India'. Army of India silver medal awarded to veterans by the Honourable East India Company in 1851 for the campaigns in India and Burma between 1803 and 1826. Queen Victoria is depicted on the medallion. The names of three battles are inscripted in the clasps. Seringapatam golden medal awarded to veterans by the East India Company in 1801 for the British victory in the 1799 Battle of Seringapatam. The obverse of the medal depicts the British lion assaulting Tipu's emblem, the tiger with the inscription in Arabic Asad Allah al-Ghalib (Lion of God the Conqueror).
