Tsars Winter Palace, Yalta, 20th century. Livadia Palace was a summer retreat of the last Russian tsar, Nicholas II, and his family. In 1945, the palace housed the apartments of Franklin Delano Roosevelt and other members of the American delegation for the Yalta Conference. The Palace is built of white Crimean granite in a Neo-Renaissance style.
