Wood engraving after a drawing by Henry Albrecht, based on a photograph by the German officer Wilhelm Langheld as "Wasukuma", name of the local population on the south-eastern shore of Lake Victoria, a region called "Ussukuma" during the German colonial period (German East Africa). The colonial forces of Imperial Germany used the "Wasukuma" notably for transportation in caravans.
