The park was commissioned in 1993 by President Francois Mitterand and is comprised of 3 gardens designed by Bernard Huet, Madeleine Ferrand, Jean-Pierre Feugas, Bernard Leroy, and by landscapers Ian Le Caisne and Philippe Raguin.
