The "Bundesgrenzschutz" (Federal Frontier Guards), a police unit of 10.000 established in 1951, is West Germany's first military unit after World War II.
Lt. Col. Attenberger, chief of camp Coburg. A former police officer between WW I and 1934, he "could not keep his mouth shut"during the Nazi years and was suspended from active duty. He is one of the organisers of the Frontier guards.
