Trial of Joan of Arc, facsimile of the transcription of the trial in Rouen in 1431, 1 of 3 surviving copies, in the Joan of Arc Centre collection, in the Chateau de Chinon or Forteresse royale de Chinon, Indre-et-Loire, France. Joan of Arc visited Chinon twice in 1429. The chateau was founded in the 11th century by Theobald I, count of Blois. King Henry II of England lived and died here in the 12th century and the chateau has been out of use since the late 16th century.
