Enamel portrait of Charles Orlando, Dauphin of France, 1492-95, son of Charles VIII and Anne of Brittany, who died in infancy of measles, in the Chambre des Enfants, or Children's bedroom, in the Chateau de Langeais, a Renaissance castle built 1465-69 by king Louis XI, on the river Loire in Langeais, Indre-et-Loire, France. Originally built in the 10th century by Foulques Nerra, it was rebuilt in the 15th century by Jean Bourre and Jean Briconnet.
