Doorway from the monastery of Moutiers-Saint-Jean, Burgundy, France, founded by the first Christian kings of France, Clovis and his son Clothar, c. 1250, in the Romanesque Hall of The Cloisters, a museum specialising in European medieval architecture, sculpture and decorative arts, part of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, at Fort Tryon Park, Manhattan, New York, USA. A statue of Clovis is on the left of the doorway, and Clothar on the right. The tympanum depicts the coronation of the Virgin in Heaven.
