Portrait of Louis d'Armagnac, duc de Nemours, 1472-1503, in the Galerie des Illustres, featuring 327 portraits of important figures from history, commissioned 1620-38 by Paul Ardier, in the Chateau de Beauregard, Renaissance chateau begun late 15th century and extended 16th century by Jean du Thier, in Loir-et-Cher, France. The painters are unidentified and mainly copied portraits from other collections. The decorative work and emblems on the woodwork and coffered ceiling are by Pierre Mosnier.
