Sant Marti Church, built in 1538 on the remains of a pre-Romanesque church of 926 AD, in San Marti d'Empuries, a medieval town on the Costa Brava in Catalonia, Spain. Nearby is the site of Empuries, an ancient settlement founded in 575 BC by Greek colonists from Phocaea. The town was settled by the Romans from 218 BC and abandoned in the Middle Ages.
