A general view of the Erechtheum, on April 17, 2007, in Athens, Greece. The Erechtheum was built on the Acropolis, between 421 and 405 BC, in the Ionic Order. The plan is unusual with West facade having only 4 columns, being overlapped by the North porch. The famous Caryatid porch, with 6 sculptures of maidens replacing the columns, faces South towards the Parthenon.
