Khusrau and Shirin in bed, 1410-1411. Khusrau was a Sasanian king, and Shirin was his Armenian queen. Shirin is also in love with Farhad, a famous stone-cutter. When Khusrau doscovers tht his wife is in love with Fahrad he decides to test Farhads love and tells him that Shirin is dead. Farhad kills himself and Khusrau continues living with Shirin until his assassination, upon which Shirin kills herself and joins both her lovers. ID: Add 27261 fol 81 v.
