The Pabenham-Clifford Hours (formerly the Grey-Fitzpayn Hours). Folio 55v: Penitential Psalms, Crucifixion with the Virgin and St John, and patrons in the border. The lower borders (bas-de-page) are decorated with animals, birds and whimsical creatures. Use of Sarum, in Latin. Gothic bookhand (textualis). Gold leaf and tempera on parchment, 248 mm x 170 mm.
