Bildarchiv Foto Marburg

Founded in 1913, the Bildarchiv Foto Marburg comprises over 1.9 million images of mainly European art and architecture, with special emphasis on Germany, France, Italy, Greece and Spain. It also includes works and monuments in Non-European countries, such as Egypt and Armenia. Officially designated by the Federal Republic of Germany as the German Center for the History of Art Documentation, Foto Marburg has compiled a complete photographic record of art and architecture within its territory, representing almost all the major museums in Germany.
