Art Resource is pleased to announce that it has been chosen the exclusive representative for the image archives of the Berlin State Museums, known as the Bildarchiv Preussischer Kulturbesitz (BPK) . BPK acts as the official photo archive of more than 20 State Museums in Berlin, as well as the collections of the Kunsthalle in Hamburg.

The world renowned group of the Berlin museums includes the Egyptian Museum (Nefertiti bust), the Ancient Art Collection (Altar of Pergamon), the Near Eastern Art Museum (Ishtar Gate from Babylon), the Picture Gallery (Raphael, Titian, Duerer, Holbein, Vemeer, Rembrandt), the Nationalgalerie (19th and 20th century art) as well as its museums of Islamic, East Asian, and Indian art. In addition, the BPK represents the State Library of Berlin, the Ibero- American Institute, and the Collection of Musical Instruments. BPK also represents The Hamburger Kunsthalle, which is best known for its collection of 19th and 20th century art (C.D. Friedrich, German Expressionism, Max Beckmann).
