(designed by): Venus admonishing Cupid. Tapestry, probably made in Brussels, Belgium 1555-1565. Probably part of a set of sixteen tapestries, though some are now untraceable. After the story of Cupid and Psyche in the Golden Ass, by Lucius Apuleius. Tapestry woven in wool and silk. Given by Dowager Viscountess Harcourt GBE. T.770-1950).
