Art Resource, in collaboration with the Scala Group of Florence, Italy, is delighted to announce that it has been named the exclusive agent for North American photo-rights of the collection of The Museum of Modern Art, New York (MoMA), the world’s preeminent museum of modern art. Inquiries for images and rights to reproduce the works housed at MoMA will henceforth be fulfilled in North America directly by Art Resource. Scala will oversee and fulfill all other inquiries worldwide.
Art Resource is America’s largest photograph archive devoted exclusively to works of fine art of all periods. This new arrangement greatly strengthens Art Resource’s modern art holdings as it is already the official North American rights representative for other institutions of modern and contemporary art including the Tate Modern, the Musée d’Orsay, Centre Pompidou, Musée Picasso, Musée Fernand Léger, the Musée Matisse, the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, the Archive of Mark Rothko, and the Alexander Calder Foundation. High-resolution digital images from these sources, as well as the MoMA collection, are available for searching, licensing, and downloading from www.artres.com.
